MUSEUMS, ARBORETUMS & ZOOLOGICAL PARKS

We interpret concepts for museums, arboretums, and zoological parks creating facsimiles, of the splendor of natural rock. Our special methods of fabrication and artistry blend together natural and simulated rock with such skill that even the experts have difficulty discerning which is which. We are pioneers in the research and development of simulated rock and water habitats and specialize in design consultation and construction.

AJANTA CAVE MUSEUM - AURANGABAD, INDIA

This site in Aurangabad, India, with its dome-shaped architecture, will catch your attention from a distance as you descend from the hilly ride towards the cave site. Opened to public in 2013, the Ajanta Visitors Center is your information source. On the ground floor, the center displays replicas created by the artisans of Rock & Waterscape of some of the highly detailed carvings that replicate several Ajanta caves, complete with mannequins of monks dressed in religious robes. It also has audio-visual clips playing on a loop for visitors to understand the caves and rich Buddhist history and tradition across Maharashtra, India.

WILD ARCTIC AT SEA WORLD, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

Wild Arctic at Sea World is a magnificent triumph of simulated frozen scenery that recreates a discovery and subsequent investigation of the mysterious and tragic 1845 Franklin Arctic Expedition. We have genuinely replicated the natural wonders of the Arctic. Using some of today's most innovative techniques, we created overlapping environmental layers to deliver maximum realism to the authentic polar environment. UV resistant ice, snow, and glacial rock were recreated using castings and hand-carved concrete, washed, and eroded to simulate windblown snow and polar ice. A natural crystal replicates the glitter of the snow and ice. A special drip system creates hundreds of artificial hybrid resin icicles appear to be melting.  Rocking ice floes bob above cobble marine floors, host to starfish, anemones, sponges, and coral encrustations.  Shipwrecks above and below water feature twisted, frozen, and warped, planks along with crafted artifacts.
